Photos and info on the first show and construction techniques.
Here's another set of modules by Tom Gilchrist. A 4' straight and a 3' 30 degree curve that are designed to go together. This shot is in Tom's garage just before a show.

This is how the bridge looks today. This is a favorite place for photo shoots including a Z-Track cover.

After the first few shows, Tom started to add track and buildings to the "King Street Station" module.

Tom puts plaster cloth on all the foam surfaces that don't have cork. He uses cork for track, roads, and building pads. The slot in the back of the roundhouse is for a backdrop that was added for the NTS 2004.

The 4' "T" extension for the yard. These two modules are designed to go together, but can (and have) been used seperatly at shows.

has a mountain scene on the back. |
Here is a close-up shot showing the use of cork for building pads and parking lots (sprayed grey or black).
